Atkins Ranch’s extensive pastoral program ensures all animals are always grazed on pastures where our product is able to be tracked back to each ranch.

New Zealand’s carbon footprint from lamb production is about a quarter of the European and  US footprint, according to the latest research report from Lincoln University.

New Zealand farming uses a fraction of the fertilizer used in European farming systems, especially nitrogen. New Zealand’s carbon emissions from transport including sea freight, make up 5% of US’s total footprint. All of this reflects the advantages of our extensive farming and shipping practices.
